To ensure that you can enjoy your time by or on the water safely, there are some precautionary tips you should keep in mind. In Falkenberg, there are local police regulations for the different swimming areas, but also general rules that apply to all of them. You can find them here.

Borrow a life jacket

Heading out onto the lake, but need a life jacket? No problem! You can borrow one from the local search and rescue service for free. They stock life jackets in all sizes, from 0 kg to +100 kg. You can borrow them for up to a week, but due to how popular this lending scheme is, please make sure you only borrow a life jacket for the number of days you actually intend to use it.

If you are going ice skating, you can also borrow ice prods.
