Berte Qvarn
Sweden’s oldest family-owned business is located in Slöinge. The first bag of flour left Berte Qvarn in the year 1569. Now one of Europe’s most modern mills, it can attribute much of its success to the staff’s love for the mill’s heritage and genuine concern for quality and the environment.

Quality flour from Slöinge
In the mid-16th century, it was the ability to exploit the energy from Suseån that made it possible to begin processing the high-quality grain that grew in the area around Slöinge. Today, the modern mill supplies flour of a high quality and with a legacy behind it that few other products can boast of.
Grown and processed in Sweden
All the cereals are grown on fields that are not sludge fertilised, and the products only contain Swedish grain from Halland, Skåne and Östergotland in particular.
Buy in shops
You can find Berte’s flour in grocery stores. If you are visiting or passing through Slöinge, there is also a wide range of the mill’s products for sale at Sia Glass’ Factory Outlet.
