At the edge of Vinberg you’ll find a gorgeous nature area and reserve. Taking a walk here along the wide paths is easy. If you’re feeling a little more adventurous, you can also head on down to the River Vinån that runs through the reserve.

Welcome to Vinberg

The easiest way to experience the Vinberg nature reserve is to follow the jogging track that starts at the north end of the reserve, at the end of Vinåvägen. The track is 1.5 km long and its start is marked by a circle. The path is wide and well suited for buggies. You will also find plenty of benches along the way.

The path will take you through a deciduous forest and several open fields. The River Vinån runs below the top end of the track and can be hard to spot if the vegetation is dense. Take a good pair of shoes with you if you want to clamber down the slope to the river as it is quite slippery near the edge of the water. But you will be rewarded with a bewitching, jungle-like environment. You might also spot woodpeckers, grey wagtails and white-throated dippers here.

You can even go fishing in the Vinån which has one of the highest populations of freshwater trout in the region. Read more about the fish here.
