Klittervägen runs along the other side of the tall sand dunes in parallel to Skrea Beach. During the summer months, Klittervägen is an experience in itself with its bustling crowds, eateries and activities. Stroll along Klittervägen There are lots of options for an empty stomach. There are also two places you can play mini golf, as well as an outdoor gym. There is ample parking for cars and bicycles along the whole stretch. Falkenberg’s biggest miniature golf course is located only a short walk from Skrea strand. You can choose to play a 9, 18 or 27-hole game on varied and well-maintained courses. About the golf course The mini golf course has a number of fun and challenging obstacles where lots of unexpected and odd things can happen to the ball. Even amateurs can have a great round here and get lots of hole-in-ones. The well-maintained courses are located amidst a wonderful beachside setting, where you can buy ice cream, snacks and beverages. You can choose between playing a 9, 18 or 27-hole game. Pentathlon Skrea Bangolf also organises other supervised activities. You can also rent ‘activity branches’ if your group does not require a supervisor.

Enjoy Skrea Beach and go for a swim without getting sand between your toes. Along Bacchus väg (Bacchus road), there are new observation decks, sauna, tables, benches and barbecue areas. It’s a perfect spot for picnics, lazy summer days and/or baths in the winter. About the area New homes are being built along Bacchus väg, and the old industrial area will soon look totally different. This year, the jetty has been reinforced and seven new sites been set up where you can relax and take in the view. On the first, fourth and sixth sites, there are only observation decks with some tables and benches. The second, third and fifth sites all have stairs leading down to the water. The seventh has a plateau down by the water with a bathing ladder. There are also large green areas all along the road which are perfect for parking your picnic chairs or throwing down a picnic blanket. There are also two designated barbecue areas and a public bathroom. So go for a dip, enjoy the view and hang out with your friends and loved ones. Who knows - you may end up finding your new favourite place in the world. Cold Baths & Sauna Baths The swimming ladders have become popular spots even for winter bathers, and since December 2024, there's also the option to enjoy a sauna at the far end of the area. Even from a distance while walking down the beach promenade, you can pick up the fantastic smell of the wafers that are always being baked in Glasshuset during the summer months. You can choose between an approximate 50 flavours of SIA ice cream with a huge variety of toppings and sprinklings, the most popular being the warm dipped chocolate. Try it for yourself!

Make the most of a fabulous day at Skrea Strand by heading out on a paddleboard. You can hire boards from SUP Mannen at Ocean Hotel or Skrea Camping throughout the summer. Hire SUP at Skrea Strand SUP – stand-up paddleboarding – is the perfect activity for everyone and doesn’t require any prior experience. SUP Mannen’s boards are available to hire either direct at Skrea Strand in front of Ocean Hotel or at Skrea Camping. You can also prebook boards for kick-offs, hen and stag parties or just for a fun family activity. Opening times vary depending on the weather. Do you like playing tennis? In Falkenberg, there are indoor and outdoor courts that you can book. Play tennis You can play matches all year round at Falkenberg Tennis Club. During the summer, you can play on one of Sweden’s most attractive outdoor facilities by Skrea Beach, with six amazing clay courts and a lovely club house. The indoor tennis hall, beautifully located by the Ätran river, is open for matches all year round and has three courts you can book. Skrea Camping is a very popular campground. It is located 3 km from the nearest town and just 150 m from Skrea Beach. The sand beneath your feet feels so soft and lovely that you want to stay all day, and the refreshingly cool saltwater is perfect for swimming, both day and night. Skrea Camping is a family campground, and you must be at least 25 years old to book a campsite here. The campground has all the services and amenities you might expect from a high-standard campground, including a disabled-friendly and well-equipped service facility, a well-stocked convenience shop, a newly-built restaurant and a large variety of activities in the local area. There are also several playgrounds, children’s playrooms with child-minders, guided activities and plenty of other fun things to get up to. If you prefer staying in a cabin rather than a caravan, motorhome or tent, there’s a large variety of cabins in different sizes to choose from. The cabins can be booked all year round. Restaurant Skrea Camping has its own restaurant which offers a varied menu of delicious food at family-friendly prices. Try the pizza or plank steak or cool off with a cold pitcher of sangria on the balcony. Be sure to also look out for notices about music nights, ‘name that song’ events or music quizzes.

Restaurant Famille serves great menus for all occasions. Famille is a modern kitchen and serves dishes inspired by Nordic cuisine with French influences. Famille is Falkenberg Strandbad’s big á la carte restaurant and can seat up to 180 guests. It serves a delectable variety of dishes prepared from natural ingredients and with natural flavours. The goal is for a visit to Famille to feel like a gastronomic experience in an intimate setting and friendly atmosphere. The kitchen works with local and international ingredients and bases its menu to what is in season at any given time. The restaurant is open for lunch and evening meals seven days a week.

If you’re looking for a summer holiday full of sunshine, the sea and the camping life, you’ve come to the right place. Hansagård Camping & Resort offers everything that campers who love the sun and beach might want. Hansagård Camping & Resort is ideally situated right by the sea. The campground is nestled in between lovely shore meadows and scenic rocky headlands which are perfect for swimming, playing, picnics and crab fishing. The campground has a familiar and pleasant atmosphere. You can choose from a number of activities such as walkaround quizzes, group singing, music, pentathlon events, family crafts, Nordic walking and pony riding. There are also playgrounds with jumping pillows and cableways, adventure mini-golf, a football field and a boules court. The town centre is about 5 km from the campground. The campground has 350 sites in total, of which 330 are connected to electricity and 20 are tent sites, as well as 14 cabins of various sizes. The borders of most of the sites are typically marked with hedges or other greenery. You must be 25 or above to book a campsite and cabin. Restaurant Hansas Bodega is open on weekends from April and every day after Midsummer.

At Klitterbadet, you can find Sweden’s only 50-metre saltwater pool. It’s a place for fun and exercise swimming. You can also exercise here, join water aerobics classes or book a beauty treatment. Fun for kids There are several pools to choose from at Klitterbadet. The children’s pool offers unlimited fun for the little ones. There are two small slides and lots of toys in the pool. Feel free to bring water toys into the pool’s play area. There is also a climbing wall, ropes to climb and volleyball nets. In the deep end, you can go diving and leap into the water from the pallets. For the little ones, there is a 65 sq. m. water playground packed with fun attractions such as a slide, bubble zones, figures that spray water and a cave. The water is also slightly warmer at the playground. Swimming for exercise In the big pool, there are several 50m lanes for exercise swimmers. There are good opportunities for a wonderfully relaxing time here. Enjoy the Friday evenings when the pool is only lit up by the lamps in the water and candles are placed around it. Book a time for the hot tub or sit for a while in the aroma sauna. There is also an activity pool which is maintained at a warm 34 degrees Celsius. It is primarily used for water activities such as water gymnastics and baby swim classes. It is open to all visitors whenever it is not booked. More activities There is more to do than simply swimming at Klitterbadet. You can exercise in the fitness centre, which has a gym and spinning equipment. You can sunbathe, book a sauna session or perhaps a massage or coffee peeling treatment. You can also join a variety of water gymnastics classes.

Did you know that it only takes roughly half an hour to walk from downtown Falkenberg to the seaside? Walk towards Tullbron and follow the river Ätran down to Skrea Beach. The town by the sea Turn down by the ruins of the old castle, just by the eastern fortification of Tullbron, and you’ll arrive at Strandpromenaden, which connects the town to the sea. You will definitely want to bring your camera along for this trip. The area offers an amazing view of Tullbron, the rooftops of the Old Town and the stunning silo towers by the harbour. You will also pass by Falkenberg’s marina, after which you will soon arrive near the sea and the long Skrea Beach. Strandpromenaden was built around 1920 as a state relief initiative. The architect was the town’s head gardener at the time, A.F. Bergkvist.
